PV Funding in Austria: Why Many Applications Come Up Empty

000 applicants are currently coming up empty-handed, because the demand for PV systems exceeds the available funding pools. For members and those interested in the DEA, this specifically means: Anyone planning a PV system should not plan on funding approvals as a fixed factor and should also consider alternatives such as joining together in a citizen energy community.
Within an energy community, solar power can be shared in an economically sensible way even without a full funding quota, because surplus energy can be passed on directly to members in the region. This reduces dependence on feed-in tariffs and makes projects more viable even when the funding situation is tight. At the same time, the high demand shows just how strong interest in generating one's own solar power has become in Austria.
Anyone who informs themselves in good time can factor the funding conditions realistically into their own planning.
